Modern PostgreSQL for AI applications: with LLM integrations and powerful search

In this session, we will talk about extending PostgreSQL to support modern AI workloads. PostgreSQL extensions are a powerful part of the Postgres ecosystem. Some are relatively straightforward to run, while others bring broad sets of new functionality and enable new workloads, allowing Postgres to compete with specialized databases. Lantern.dev offers a unique way to accomplish this for AI workloads, including scalable indexing and LLM integrations with Postgres.
Along the way, we will also introduce a new way of consuming PostgreSQL extensions in the cloud. Informed from our time building and running Citus first as a separate database, and later as a PostgreSQL extension and a cloud service, we will talk about ways to combine workload-specific expertise of AI applications, with the operational management of Postgres.
