How PostgreSQL Resists Automated Management (And How To Fix This)
Date: 2022-10-27
Time: 15:40–16:30
Room: Berlin 1
Level: Intermediate
PostgreSQL was designed in a time when software was primarily managed and administered by humans, often humans whose whole job was to keep the computer working. Today, software management is often fully automated. PostgreSQL isn't always well suited to this environment.
In this talk, I'll discuss some of the ways in which external software would like to be able to manage PostgreSQL, why it's hard, and how we might be able to make it better in the future.
