With 20 years of experience as a Database Engineer, I began my career specializing in Oracle and SQL Server. In 2015, I transitioned to focusing predominantly on PostgreSQL, a platform I have become deeply passionate about.

From 2017 to 2021, I led a team in a monumental project to migrate thousands of Oracle databases from a global "private cloud" environment to PostgreSQL in the "public cloud," spanning multiple data centers across the US, EU, Singapore, Australia, and Korea. This large-scale migration underscored my expertise in managing complex, global database infrastructures.

In February 2021, I joined Adyen at their Amsterdam headquarters, working on some of the largest PostgreSQL installations in the world. A new opportunity in September 2022 took me to Gartner in Barcelona, where I led multiple DBA teams based in the US, Europe, and India. While I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of this role and living in Barcelona, I returned to Adyen in Madrid in late 2023 due to family and health considerations. I am now contributing to Adyen's new tech hub in Madrid.

As a devoted advocate of PostgreSQL, I actively engage with the vibrant PostgreSQL community, regularly attending events like pgconf.eu and FOSDEM. I have also had the privilege of presenting to the PostgreSQL NL user group. Looking ahead, I am excited to revitalize the PostgreSQL Spain user group, organizing events in both Madrid and Barcelona as we move into 2024 and beyond.

I'm a big fan of PostgreSQL and the amazing support from the Postgres community, regularly attending both pgconf.eu and FOSDEM. I have also presented to the Postgres NL usergroup.

Going forward I'm looking to getting the PostgreSQL Spain PUG (Postgres User Groups) events going again in 2024 and beyond, we are now running PUG events in both Madrid and Barcelona.

Lastly I make music with my husband Thomas, we even had a pgDay NL and pgconf.eu song for Athens, checkout ThomasDave on Spotify.
