PostgreSQL relies on WAL for operation logging. But what will DBA be able to achieve if WAL get corrupted ?
This hands-on training aims to push the user to different situations where WAL should be dug in order to recover from disasters.
This training will first explain different kinds of WAL levels and contents, then an overview of the PostgreSQL different tools (pg_resetwal and pg_rewind) will be explained. Trainees will face situations they'll have to solve using PostgreSQL common tools in order to recover, just for fun and learning...
