Postgres can easily handle relational data, but it can handle many non-relational, NoSQL, federated, and data warehouse requirements too. This tutorial explains how the extendibility capabilities of Postgres works, and shows how Postgres handles non-relational requirements. It covers JSON, data analytics, foreign data wrappers, and many other non-relational data types, like full text search. It also covers the necessary indexing support to make these features scalable.
