When you provision a database server, you may ask yourself how you can get the best performance from your PostgreSQL databases. We'll see how we can determine the best configuration by having a look at improving queries (pgbadger, explain plans), tuning indexes and tuning PostgreSQL parameters (checkpoint settings, planer settings, memory settings, statistics gathering settings…).
