In this presentation, we will talk about why one should use pgAdmin 4. Today pgAdmin 3 is the most popular open source GUI tool for PostgreSQL, yet the team have been rewriting the application from scratch. We’ll discuss the reasons for the rewrite, and look at some of the features that will make pgAdmin 4 a compelling upgrade: 1. The pluggable modular architecture of pgAdmin 4 2. The functional and usability features of pgAdmin4 (with demonstration), including: - Web based responsive layouts - PostgreSQL data-objects like servers, databases, tablespaces, roles, schemas, tables, indexes etc. - Query tool with integrated data editing - Procedural language debugger - Dashboards for simple real time monitoring - Automated test framework 3. How the functional and non-functional issues of pgAdmin 3 have been addressed in pgAdmin4
