Two years ago we presented a program that plays Chess on PostgreSQL, to demonstrate many of its features that are helpful in software development.

This talk presents the new version, named "pgchess", packaged as a PostgreSQL 9.1 extension, and the features added since then. It includes both C and PL/pgSQL code, allowing better performance and modularity.
