Slony is a trigger based replication system for PostgreSQL that supports multiple replication sets, cascaded replicas and controlled switchovers. Sometimes database administrators find that their Slony clusters are not behaving as they expect. This talk will describe the steps to take to troubleshoot a Slony cluster. The audience will learn about the different components that make up Slony and will learn how data flows through a Slony cluster. Common issues encountered with Slony clusters will also be discussed.
