A member of the Heroku Department of Data, which provides instant access to reliable data management via monitored and managed PostgreSQL databases. At Heroku I wrote the program WAL-E, which is a continuous archiver toolkit specifically targeted at the management of many databases and use with highly durable object/blob storage, specifically Amazon S3. It is available as open source software, and could use a lot of work. Prior to working at Heroku, I was a hacker at Truviso, where I worked on the planning and execution of streaming database queries utilizing a modified fork of PostgreSQL. Sessions |
