Emre Baransel has been working in IT industry for 20 years as a database expert. After working for several telco companies in Turkiye, his next assignment was with Oracle Corp. as an Advanced Support Engineer and Technical Leader for 10 years. After leaving Oracle, he co-founded the consulting company "Stradata" and has been giving database consultancy to his clients mainly for Oracle and PostgreSQL. He co-authored 3 books on database technologies and he gave presentations at User Group conferences held in 14 countries on 5 continents. He focuses in particular on database high availability and disaster recovery solutions, cloud technologies, and database security.
