Logical replication has been available in PostgreSQL since version 9.4 using pg_logical, and since version 10 in-core. But what do you actually do with it? We'll talk about real-life scenarios for using it (upgrades, data warehousing, migrations, and other use-cases). We'll also cover performance, using logical replication on very large datasets, performance issues and comparisons, and a lot of tips and tricks from the last few years of our experience using logical replication on a wide range of databases.
