Marco Slot of Citus Data will present a new PostgreSQL extension for scaling out PostgreSQL to support high-performance, write-intensive workloads. Tables can be sharded across multiple cores and machines to support high DML throughput. This extension opens up PostgreSQL to a range of applications for which other databases were more suitable until now. We are sharing this extension with the PostgreSQL community as an open source project. The talk will discuss the architecture and give a demonstration of the extension. SpeakerMarco Slot |
