How to identify missing indexes ? Optimizing a PostgreSQL database entails a proper indexing strategy. But finding which indexes would speed up a query the most is time-consuming, and not everyone knows how to identify them quickly. We will review how statistics can be collected to identify missing indexes, and how tools can work to suggest indexes for specific queries. This talk will also offer you a preview of the next release of PoWA (PostgreSQL Workload Analyzer), with support for index suggestion.
